Roxana Landaverde was born in El Salvador and was a high school soccer player. She was introduced to tennis by her husband, Charles Gaines- they have had a competition ever since. She is an art history graduate and studied ancient Mesoamerican history and contemporary Latin American Art.
Justin Cole (b. Detroit, MI 1981) received his MFA in Photography from UCLA in 2005 and his BFA from the Maryland Institute College of Art in 2003. He has had two solo exhibitions at Pepin Moore Gallery in Los Angeles and has been included in group exhibitions both nationally and internationally at Robert Miller Gallery, Los Angeles Nomadic Division, Pepin Moore, Actual Size, Five Thirty Three, Cal State University Bakersfield, 356 S. Mission, Co-Lab in Copenhagen, Denmark, amongst others. Justin was also a founding member of the artist group, OJO, which produced projects for LAXART, MOCA, The Studio Museum Harlem, LACE as part of Pacific Standard Time, Queens Nails Annex, ESL Projects, Consonni in Bilbao, Spain, amongst others. Justin Cole is a senior lecturer in photography at Otis College of Art and Design and an adjunct professor in art at Antioch University Los Angeles.
